Cub Promise Party at Kenilworth Castle

Cubs from Kenilworth enjoyed a ‘Cub meeting’ at Kenilworth Castle for their Promise Party, to celebrate 100 years of Cub Scouts. Watched by Warwickshire County Commissioner (CC), Nigel Hailey, and other dignitaries, two Cubs were invested, five Silver Awards were presented, we re-enacted the siege of Kenilworth, sang campfire songs, listened to Kenilworth Gang Show sing, the CC reminded us what the Cub Scout Promise means and of course we all renewed our Promise at 19.16. The night was rounded off with hot chocolate and mince pies in the fog.
